When it comes to deciding whether or not to shop online, one of the factors that drives customers away is having to wait days or weeks for a package to arrive. In response, and in hopes of increasing conversions, eBay is premiering eBay Now, a mobile app that will allow shoppers to buy and receive items in one day’s time. According to an eBay spokesperson, “[t]he eBay Now mobile app lets shoppers order a product from a local store and experience the convenience of same-day delivery, from phone to door in as little as an hour.” The app will first be available to shoppers in the San Fransisco area.
